Ready to get started?

My Approach

I specialize working with adults in evaluation and diagnosis of depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other psychiatric disorders. I work from a holistic and neurodivergent affirmative approach, and enjoy working with adults with ADHD, those on the spectrum, and those with sensory integrative needs. My therapy focuses on working with adults with ADHD on improving their organizational skills, goal-settings, and behavioral strategies.

I am also a trained group therapist and specialize in working with from different cultural backgrounds, including Asians and Asian-Americans, immigrants, and adoptees. I incorporate expressive arts, music, and mindfulness into these sessions. I also offer nature "walk and talk" therapy based on weather and schedule availability.

FAQ

I submitted my request. Now what?

After contact I will reach back out to arrange a brief phone call. If we both decide to move forward, an initial appointment is scheduled.

First visits start with an initial psychiatric consultation and last about an hour. Your consultation may take more than one session depending on individual scenario. Please bring past records and list of current medications if applicable.

What is your availability like?

I am usually available Mondays-Fridays. The available hours are usually around 10am-4pm.

Currently I do not offer evening or weekend appointments.

Do you prescribe medications?

I prescribe medications when clinically indicated and as a tool to aid psychotherapy. The decision to take medication is an individual choice. I do not prescribe controlled substances on initial visit. All treatment necessitating use of controlled substance will be closely monitored in order to detect any adverse effects relating to use of medication.

How long do sessions take?

Initial visits take about an hour.
Follow up individual sessions are 25-50 minutes.
Groups run 75-90 minutes.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO plan. I can also provide out-of-network patients a superbill for insurance reimbursement.

What is your cancellation policy?

Failure to cancel 48 hours before scheduled appointment will result in patient's responsibility for full session fee.
