My Approach

I specialize working with adults in evaluation and diagnosis of depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other psychiatric disorders. I work from a holistic and neurodivergent affirmative approach, and enjoy working with adults with ADHD, those on the spectrum, and those with sensory integrative needs. My therapy focuses on working with adults with ADHD on improving their organizational skills, goal-settings, and behavioral strategies.

I am also a trained group therapist and specialize in working with from different cultural backgrounds, including Asians and Asian-Americans, immigrants, and adoptees. I incorporate expressive arts, music, and mindfulness into these sessions. I also offer nature "walk and talk" therapy based on weather and schedule availability.

In addition, I offer coaching and clinical consultation. My coaching clients can include people looking for clarity in their life or understanding psychological barriers to making changes.  My clinical consultation include using group process and getting the clinician to understand their own strength and passion in creating their own practice path. My goal is to facilitate each person to find their own path in midst of change and uncertainty.

I have several areas of experience and interest, including stress related to schools, relocation and immigration issues, as well as identity as related to our place in society. I also focus on mind-body connections and mental health issues related to physical or medical issues. I work with substance and behavioral addictions through my close affiliation with Working Sobriety. I love working with students, trainees, as well as those in the education and medical/mental health professions.

In my time outside of psychiatry and clinical practice, I enjoy music and I play the piano.

I teach piano to select students, and I enjoy the richness that music has brought into our lives.
