My Approach

My goal is to guide and facilitate each person to find their own path in the midst of uncertainty and stress. Through my own experience with whole-body treatment, I frequently incorporate complementary modalities for integrative healing. As a group therapist, I am interested in using the power of group to facilitate growth beyond individual work.

I have several areas of experience and interest, including stress related to schools, relocation and immigration issues, as well as identity as related to our place in society. I also focus on mind-body connections and mental health issues related to physical or medical issues. I work with substance and behavioral addictions through my close affiliation with Working Sobriety. I love working with students, trainees, as well as those in the education and medical/mental health professions.

In my time outside of psychiatry and clinical practice, I enjoy music and I play the piano.

I teach piano to select students, and I enjoy the richness that music has brought into our lives.
